RV Repair Service Fee and Labor Rate
At Old Guy RV Repair & Inspections, LLC we believe in honesty and transparency. Which is why our prices are published so you, as the customer, are well informed. You will find our prices are competitive in the areas where we provide mobile RV service or repair.
Hourly Rate
There is a one-hour minimum charge of $140.00 for service.
If a travel charge is needed, it will be added to the hourly rate (please see below). Time starts upon my arrival on site. Time stops when all tools are loaded and accounted for, and the invoice is provided.
Certain labor and repairs are charged by a flat rate based on the industry standard and not by the time spent on the task. This is the same method as a mechanic or RV Repair shop would use to charge you.
I will take a few moments to go over the issues experienced or services needed for accurate diagnosis and repair.
Travel Rate
Due to logistics, I dispatch from Sanford FL. I use Google Maps for mileage calculations.
I service up to 60 miles one way from my location. If you are less than 20 miles from my location, there is no service fee. If you are located more than 20 miles there will be a service fee which covers time, vehicle maintenance, gas, and insurance as stated below.
30 miles – $30.00 = Travel (if applicable) + One-Hour minimum = $170.00 *plus cost of parts and taxes.
40 miles – $40.00 = Travel (if applicable) + One-Hour minimum = $180.00 *plus cost of parts and taxes.
50 miles – $50 = Travel (if applicable) + One-Hour minimum = $190.00 *plus cost of parts and taxes.
60 miles – $60 = Travel (if applicable) + One-Hour minimum = $200.00 *plus cost of parts and taxes.
If I am required to make future visits to complete the repair no travel fee will be charged for those additional visits. For customers outside of our service area additional service fee may be required due to distance and time.
Annual Maintenance
Annual RV Air Conditioner Service (roof mount only) – $300 / $75 for any additional units + travel rate
Annual RV Water Heater Service (Suburban, Dometic, Atwood) – $210 + travel rate + parts and materials + taxes
Annual Propane Refrigerator (absorption) Service (Norcold, Dometic) – $250 + travel rate + parts and materials + taxes
Annual Propane Furnace Service – $250 + travel rate + parts and materials + taxes
Forms of Payment:
We accept Exact Cash (I do not carry extra cash), checks from a local bank or credit union, all major Credit Cards, and Venmo. Please be advised that parts deposit must be made with cash or through Venmo.
